In my bag? Vodka, a good knife, and rope.
a first aid kit, a knife and matches
Keeping the go bag light is key so my items would be small. First spare glasses can’t be running around bumping into things. Second a small photo album gotta have something to remind me what’s important. Lastly toilet paper the world’s ending but you still gotta go and you’ll be going in odd spots enough that a little comfort will go a long way.

Rope, a knife, and first aid supplies. If I could, I would also cram I’m my mother and mother-in-law’s Christmas cookie recipes, because eventually, we will be able to eat good things again, right?

If I’m being realistic, if the world is ending I’m just going to huddle in my house, crying. But, if we’re pretending I’m the heroine of a post-apocalyptic novel, I’d bring a knife, first aid kit and a lighter/matches
Fully charged kindle, alcohol and cake! Cause lets be honest, we won’t all escape so at least I’ll be too drunk to realise!
Oh! okay, so three things I’d have with my in a post-apocalyptic novel…hmmm, a blade, one of those water bottle with a filter, and flint and steel. (And I’d try to sneak a bar of soap for emergencies. wink.)
OoOoOo…this question reminds me of the early seasons of Survivor when contestants were allowed to bring one comfort item with them. I would definitely bring a swiss army knife, a lighter, and my one comfort item would be chapstick!! A girl likes her creature comforts

I’d bring a knife, small axe, paracord. Thank goodness for my survival training!
A knife, water, and a book (or as many books I could fit in the bag).
In my bag I would want one of those devices that turns any water into safe drinking water, a knife that never gets dull, & a fire starter.
Definitely a knife (cause guns run out of ammo and it can be used for so many other things), matches (in a water proof case) and a canteen with water. I can loot for anything else I need later. 😉
My Kindle, a solar charger, and a straight razor 😀
A fully loaded solar-powered ereader (for my sanity), my menstrual cup (for practicality), plus coffee and cacao beans for future crops (for luxuries)(climate, shlimate).
If I could choose only 3 things…I would pick rope, a hunting knife, and a metal canteen (one that is good for boiling water).
My tablet, a very BIG knife and a bottle of water.
My escape bag would have… a knife, a canteen with water, and rope.
In my escape bag would be chocolate, a bottle of water and my fully charged kindle 🙂

My hunting knife straps to my thigh 😉 so in my bag I think I’d pack a life straw, a notebook and a pen. Because I’d need clean water, no question, but I’m bound to have some adventures along the way and I want to write that shit down!
I wouldn’t expect to survive very long, so I’d take things to keep me comfy in the meantime. My tablet full of ebooks and music, a bottle of something strong, and some food.
Knife, gun and amo.
I’d take a solar-powered GPS (I already carry one everywhere because I get horrendously lost whenever I drive in my city), a hunting knife, and my Brita water bottle. I figure everything else can be scavenged or traded for, but you never know when and where the water will be good!
Post-apoc romance is my favorite genre! In my bag I’d definitely have a knife, a water bottle and my rechargeable handheld flashlight/AM radio (I bought that right before Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast, it was a great investment).
Books, knife, gun, whiskey, and Valium. And a flashlight/taser combo.

I’m pretty sure I’m not going to make it through the end of the world or if I do I’ll be one of the first to go. Likely because my escape bag will be forgotten in my panicked shuffling “run” away from danger.
I’d have to say it really depends on the state of the world at the time. In tomorrow’s post-apocalyptic world will there be Kindles that don’t need charging, swiss-army knives that have shrinkable weather proof shelters and a device that can remolecularise organic matter into nutritious food? If so, those would be my picks.

I would take a charcoal water filter, rope and a bigass gun with knife mount. I am so excited to dig into this book. I feel like I’ve been waiting forever (although all things considered it hasn’t really been that long).

Realistically I am one of the people wiped out in the first wave of… whatever. So in the spirit of going out in style: a fully stocked, fully charged ereader, a bottle of whiskey and fill the rest of the bag up with chocolate.

If the world was ending tomorrow and I could only bring 3 of the 5 C’s of survival, it would be a Swiss army knife or similar multi-tool (Cutting device), a ferro rod (Combustion device), and a metal water bottle (Container) for drinking and heating. Girl’s gotta be prepared!

Can you fit a Navy SEAL into a go bag? (Maybe if he folded up?) If not, a utility knife, a super-stocked first aid kit, and I like that lifestraw idea. Water’s imperative and you really want it not to kill you — I mean, who wants to die of diarrhea in the apocalypse? It’s so undignified.

Now I’m with you. My bag would be hugh. It would have my husband, a crate of books & a knife. My husband knows all the survival stuff, and once he has my hut built he would take care of everything else while I read and then he would be there to act out the sex scenes in my books! What else would I need? HA!

Swiss Army Knife, Water in a metal can, toilet paper but I would be wearing leather, chains, hat, a silk bandana and boots.
3 things in my bag- my leatherman (multipurpose tool), flint steel (for fire) and a bow (weapon-arrows can be made). If we’re talking end of life as we know it, I’m taking it back ol’ school- give me survival tools:)

Only 3 things huh. Well I guess they’d have to be a filled water bottle (filtering straw included), a humongous batch of matches in waterproof packaging, and a very large knife. I would really like to include a 4th item (survival bag which would include all the other necessities: food, rope, swiss army knife, thermal survival [hiking] blanket, first aid kit, change of clothes, tent, sleeping bag, etc.)
In my bag there would be a knife, food, and water. Three is hard but I had to go with the most useful.
